Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 13, 2026
Terminal iOS is designed to connect an iPhone directly to a host the customer controls. There is no Terminal iOS vendor relay, advertising SDK, or behavioral analytics service in the founding product.
Data handled by Terminal iOS
The app stores the host configuration needed to reconnect and keeps the revocable device credential in the iOS Keychain. Terminal contents, keystrokes, scrollback, host names, and project data travel over an authenticated connection between the iPhone and the customer's host. They are not routed to or collected by the Terminal iOS developer.
The host stores the minimum local state needed to operate the service, including host identity, hashed device credentials, revocation state, bounded audit records, and terminal continuity data. That state remains on the host unless the customer exports a support bundle or encrypted backup. The host software does not upload terminal content to the developer.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and administered by Apple. The app uses StoreKit to read products, verify transactions, and determine entitlement on the device. Apple may provide the developer with App Store sales, subscription, refund, and financial reports under Apple's terms and privacy practices. Terminal iOS does not receive full payment-card details.
Support
If a customer emails support, the developer receives the sender's email address, message, and attachments the customer chooses to provide. Gmail processes support email and delivery metadata under Google's applicable terms. Support material is used to answer the request, investigate the problem, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Remove terminal text, credentials, host names, and other private information before sharing diagnostics.
Tracking, advertising, and sale
Terminal iOS does not track customers across apps or websites, serve ads, or sell personal information. The founding product does not include a third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
Retention and control
Deleting a host from the app removes its app configuration and credential. Confirmed host purge removes marker-bound product state. Ordinary uninstall preserves host state by default to prevent accidental loss. Apple controls purchase-history retention. Support records are retained only as reasonably needed; a customer may request deletion of eligible support records.
Children
Terminal iOS is a professional terminal tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Security and changes
No system can guarantee absolute security. Terminal iOS uses authenticated, encrypted transport and revocable credentials, and stops when host identity or entitlement evidence is invalid. Material policy changes will be posted with a new effective date before they apply.
