Roll Back the Host

Rollback is for a newly installed version that cannot pass host health or iPhone acceptance after its automatic transaction boundary completes.

  1. Stop using the affected terminal and preserve the visible error.
  2. Run terminal-ios-host status and create a redacted support bundle only if support requests one.
  3. Follow the rollback invocation published with the immediately previous accepted package for your exact platform.
  4. Run terminal-ios-host doctor and confirm the restored version.
  5. Re-pair only if the release instructions say the existing device was revoked.
  6. Repeat restart, reboot, and iPhone reconnect checks.

There is no generic rollback subcommand. Do not improvise one, combine files from different releases, or substitute an older unsigned package.

Rollback preserves customer state unless the signed release notes explicitly identify a non-reversible migration. If the previous generation cannot be proven healthy, the host remains inactive. Continue with recovery instead of bypassing the gate.
